Good morning, all!  Blowin' off the dust on the ol' blog today to take part in the Studio Calico Trendspotting Blog Hop.  I'm hopping in a little late, but I'm hopping nonetheless!  (PST? EST? Who keeps track of such things?  Obviously not me.  Please excuse my bleary eyes and bed head.  And should any typos occur, please excuse them, too.  In my rush to get my fashionably late blog entry posted, I sprinted straight past the coffee pot this morning and did not stop for my morning pleasantries.  This could get interesting.)  


I'm thrilled to have been invited to participate in Lisa & Kelly's Trendspotting class, and am here today to give you a little sneak peek into what's in store.  And?  To offer one lucky winner a $5.00 credit at Studio Calico.  Yay!  Get ready...here's what you need to know:


"Are you a trendspotter? Lisa Truesdell and Kelly Noel want you to give it a try. They're here to teach you to jump on the latest trends and incorporate them into your projects without losing your own personal style. You'll learn how to use trends in varying amounts to combine what's now with what's YOU.

Lisa and Kelly are joined by six contributors - all of whom have a strong personal style. Becky Novacek, Celine Navarro, Jaime Warren,Gillian Nelson, Nicole Samuels and Linda Barber will be sharing layouts and advice on how they make all the latest trends work without compromising their signature look.

This is a four week class with three detailed PDF lessons each week, starting on August 6th. Each PDF will contain three layouts and a card (that's a total of 48 oh so trendy projects!), as well as tips and tricks from the teachers and contributors. In addition, Lisa and Kelly will be sharing trend-based inspiration pieces on the private message board, and you'll have access to exclusive files (a collection of shapes in .png, .abr and .studio & two printable journaling card sets). Whole lotta love goin' on there.  And I'm sharing it, too.  I created that "love" die cut using my own handwriting, and we'll be offering the file as yet another freebie to class members.  (And a little bird tells me that someone who's more technologically minded than myself will be creating .abr and .png files out of the image, also.  Sah-weet!)

I adore not only the whimsical font, but also how they pulled it from the background image itself.  And the whitespace?  Yeah.  It's pretty much divine.
