bad blogger! bad!

I've totally kept up with my Project Life album.  HA!  (That "HA!" was for the nagging little voice in my head that said I wouldn't do it.  Not you, dear readers...most likely dear parents-in-law.  I would never "HA!" you.)  What I haven't kept up with is putting the pages on the ol' blog.  I can't seem to make blogging a habit.  My apologies for such.  I swear I'll work on it.  Or I swear I'll intend to work on it.  Whatever.  I know you won't hold your breath.  But here comes a whole bunch of catching up of the last several weeks.

(To see the images in better detail, just click on them.  They become bigger.  Almost like magic.  They may or may not be easier to read, however.  Not even magic can overcome my shaky camera hand entirely.)

Week 1, Jan 1-8

For this week, I chose to give January 1st an entire page to itself, in celebration of the beginning of the album, really.  We had the Reeds over that day and there was a lot to include.

The rest of the week got the right side of the double page spread.

And I added an insert, too.  So many pictures this week!  I just couldn't tell any of them that they didn't make the cut.

Week 2, Jan 9-15

And here they are bigger so you can hopefully make out the journaling.

Week 3, Jan 16-22

Steve and I traveled to Oahu this week, so I made 2-double page entries in the album.  One for Hawaii, and one for what the Mini Nelsons were up to back at home while we were gone.

Here's Oahu:

I've been keeping a journal using the Momento app on my iPhone, and I printed out my entries that I wrote while we were there and added them as an insert.  Poof!  Instant journaling!  I like instant things.

Here's the Oregon version of that same week.  Thanks again, Grandma Nelson, for taking such great notes and pictures!!!  (I stole some pics and journaling from Auntie Heather's blog, too, so some thanks should go out her way, as well.)

Grandma sent me a wonderful email, including all of their daily adventures.  I printed it out and used it as an insert.  (What you see here is just the back of it.  Her email wasn't just a paragraph long.  In case you were wondering.)

Week 4, Jan 23-29

From this point on in the album, I'm going to try to limit each week's entry to one page.  Some weeks will require more space, I'm sure.  But if I can keep this project to a single album, I'll be a happy scrapper.

There ya have it!  All caught up!  :)  Stay tuned for more.  I just might remember to put some on here.

project life, title page

Here we go!  I've got the title page for the album done, and I'm diligently amassing pics and journal entries for the first week of the year.  And I've made it all the way to Day 2!

I am a winner.

Here's our album's title page.  Huge thanks to Paige for being a patient photographer with us.  Turns out that getting 5 Nelsons to look all in one direction at one time while keeping all 10 eyes open is not a task for the timid.

Here's a close up of the two journaling blocks, since they're not easily visible thanks to my shaky camera hand.

I had the kids sign their individual head shot cards.  I thought it would be interesting to see how their signatures might change a year from now.

So.  That is all.  :)  For now.  More Project Life excitement in a week or so.  Promise.
