it's time to spill the beans

I've been keeping a secret, and it's been killing me.  It's a happy secret, to be sure, but that's why it's killing me.  I'm about to go all scrap nerd on ya, here, just so's ya know.  You've been warned.

I've been asked by the kind folks at Studio Calico to join their creative team!!!  I'll be a designer for their monthly Scrapbook Kit.  And I've known for 4 whole weeks.

FOUR WHOLE WEEKS, PEOPLE!

Killing.  Me.

This is a big deal.  A really big deal.  A really, really big, very big deal.  Why you ask?  Well...

A)  I love to scrapbook.  (It's true.)

and

B)  I'm a huge, huge fan of the products and customer service that Studio Calico offers, and it's been my online "hangout spot" for years.

And now I get to work with them to help promote their product and online community, and I'm positively giddy.

This is gonna be fun.

Some big changes are happening over at Studio Calico.  They've expanded from a scrapbook kit club, to a kit club that also offers exclusive product lines, to a club that now also has a card kit subscription.  And?  Coming in January 2013, will also be offering...be still my heart...a monthly Project Life kit.

If you haven't yet wandered over there, I strongly urge you to do so.  Beautiful stuff.  Just sayin'.

Be sure to check out the Studio Calico blog for the introduction of the rest of the designers that will be making up their scrapbook kit, card kit and Project Life kit teams!  They've assembled an extremely talented crew of folks who are passionate about paper.  And they're not afraid to show it.

Tonight is also the night when they'll be giving a sneak peek of what's in store for the upcoming January kits.  Gorgeous stuff.  I think it's safe to say that this January collection of kits is my favorite of all time, and I swear it's not because it's my first as a design team member.  It's just that wonderful.  Bright, happy colors...awesome embellishments...it'll start your year off right.  Guaranteed.

I know, I know, you can't see much.  That's the idea, though.  It's just a little smidgen of what's to come.  Just enough to wet your whistle.  An appetizer, shall we say?  A petit four.  Om nom nom.
