i totally used a power tool.

And Steve wasn't even home to make sure I didn't sever a digit or put out an eye.  I'm feeling rather do-it-yourselfy.  And over-the-moon proud.  :)

I'd hoped to have this finished in time for my Studio Calico guest designer gig, but life (and laundry) got in the way.  Today I said, however, "Laundry be damned!"...just like that..I said it...and I made myself a clock.

I. Made. A clock.

I'm so freakin' impressed.  The hands move and it tells time and everything!

Yeah, I know it's not brain surgery, but dangit, I had to DRILL something.  BY MYSELF.  And?  I used a GLUE GUN!  And only burned myself twice.

You have no idea what a big deal this is.

I totally deserve a cookie.

It didn't turn out exactly as I'd hoped, but it was fun figuring it all out.  Let's call this one a prototype, because now my wheels are turning, and I can see breaking out the drill again.  And maybe?  Maybe next time I won't squeal when I turn it on and it makes that scary drill sound.

But I probably will.

Two of the papers I used and the number stickers are from Studio Calico's Elementary line (available at lots of online retailers), plus I used a piece of exclusive Studio Calico paper from their November Napa Valley kit.

Exclusive.

Which makes it a faaaancy clock.

Don'tcha know.
